Have a difficult Spot?

We received a call from a photography studio. Their ink cartridge had tipped over and they had a large spot of blue, pink, yellow, and black ink all over the carpet.  David attempted to get it out. He did a great job at not making it too much bigger. Anytime you add liquid to a spot like this you can spread it so it is 2 times the size of what you started. This can be aggravating. When cleaning always blot from the outside in.

When it comes to ink give us a call immediately. We have been successful with purple nail polish only because we got to it before it dried.  Here are the before & after pictures for the ink spot we treated today.

Vacuuming- How often?

Did you know that when you vacuum your carpet you removed up to 75% of the dirt in it?  To keep your carpet healthy you should be vacuuming it 2 times per week, this will remove allergens and all the nasty stuff that can stain your carpet and cause those disgusting traffic patterns.

Carpet Cleaning - How often?

Some people like to clean their carpets 2 times a year  and even every quarter depending on how many kiddos and pets are in their household. The rule of thumb we recommend is when your traffic areas through out your house start to show dirty patterns it's time to get your carpet cleaned. If you wait too long they could become stained. That could be every other year, yearly, every 6 months, or quarterly just depends on your need.

Protectant - Is it really worth it?

Have you been offered protectant after your professional cleaning and wondered if it was a scam? Actually it is not. When you buy new carpet it comes from the factory with a scotchguard product on it, which lasts 2-3 years. Protectant fills up the fibers keeping it from adhering to dirt and stains so it repels. Having a scotchguard product put down on your will lengthen the life and vitality of your carpet. Next time your professional carpet cleaner is at your house ask them to put just a little down in a traffic area as a sample. Then you will see how it truely works!
